Each throw starts with a hand-carved teak block, dipped in natural dye and stamped onto pre-washed cotton. Artisans in Sanganer and Bagru press the block by hand, aligning each repeat against a registration mark. Because the process is manual, no two throws carry exactly the same pressure or color depth, which is part of their character.
Most of our stoneware and terracotta pieces are dishwasher safe on a gentle cycle, but we recommend hand washing for pieces with reactive glazes or gold accents. The glazes are food-safe and lead-free, fired at high temperatures in small batch kilns across Gujarat. Our baskets are woven by artisan families in West Bengal and Odisha using locally harvested grasses like sabai and water hyacinth. The fibers are dried, dyed with natural pigments, and coiled by hand over several days. Each basket is sturdy enough for daily storage, yet light enough to move between rooms easily.
Solid brass develops a natural patina with use, which many of our customers appreciate. If you prefer a brighter finish, a quick polish with a soft cloth and a mild brass cleaner restores the shine. We do not lacquer our pieces, so the metal remains safe to handle and ages honestly.
